Endless Love

Author Unknown

Thank you for your endless love.
That will help me through each day.
And thank you for the memories
that will never fade away.

You’re the woman I loved
and I was proud to be your husband.
And everyday – in some small way –
I will celebrate your life.

As long as memories last,
you will stay in my heart.
Your loving husband.

Just Beyond The Hill

by David J. Flood

When you go away,
As I know you will,
Please wait for me
Just beyond the hill.

And when I come,
It won’t be long,
We’ll hold our hands
And sing our song.

You’ll be my pal
Forevermore.
We’ll watch the waves
Caress the shore.

We’ll travel here
And settle there,
Always as One
Will be our prayer.

And if I go first,
As may be God’s will,
I’ll wait for you
Just beyond the hill.

The Leaving

by Colin Jarratt

Is it truly selfish to want you back again?
I could not calm your mind, I could not ease your pain;
I thought my love would be enough to keep you here with me;
But now I know that was never going to be.

I loved you, I disliked you, we argued and we kissed;
Your face, your touch, your scent forever I shall miss;
To hold you in my arms again, my soul no longer lost;
I’d pay the price and gladly have no worry to the cost.

They say that life gets better and time will ease the pain;
They’re fools who cannot see the truth; it can never be the same;
No daytime and no nighttime, just hour by hour by hour;
And time has no more meaning now; life’s not sweet, it’s sour.

Some think we have a life-force or a soul, some others say;
If I had one, I know it died that dreadful, dreadful day;
Sometimes I know I hurt you, I know that was so true;
But please forgive me for those wrongs,
FOR I ALWAYS WILL LOVE YOU!

My Love, You Gave Yourself To Me

Author Unknown

My love, you gave yourself to me
And life caught fire from your spark.
But then, like sunshine, here and gone
You left us in the mournful dark.
The time we shared was full of warmth
Our flame sustained us through the years
And now it lights the path ahead
Between the silence and the tears.
Your memory will not fade away
To muted tones of black and white.
How could such blazing colour leave?
Our world without a dazzling fight.
So hear this now, my love, my life
Since your sweet sunshine left the blue
A brilliant rainbow spanned the sky
And that is how we’ll think of you.

My Soulmate

by John P. Read

I still say I Love You,
But now there’s no reply.
I always feel your presence
As if you never left my side.

I remember your comforting voice.
Now there’s not a sound.
Only echoes from the past
Follow me around.

You’re always by my side,
But I can’t hold your hand.
The reason why God took you
I find hard to understand.

Summer days seem much shorter.
Dark nights just linger on.
Dreams turn into nightmares
When the one you love has gone.

But real love never fades.
It still burns like the sun.
Although they’re far away,
Those memories go on and on.

Her spirit will never die
It shines like the stars.
I know you’re sleeping in heaven,
But you’re living in my heart.
