Our glorious leader!

Mark is the founder of Mark Your Occasion and offers his services not just as a Quizmaster, but also as a Wedding and Funeral Celebrant, Live Singer, Event Host, Poet, and more!

Educated at the University of St Andrews, Mark launched the business in 2020, and has since provided quizzes for hundreds of weddings, corporate socials, and charity events.

Favourite Round to Host: “I’m gonna sing the first line of a song, but I’ve changed one of the words!”

Areas Covered: Mainly the North of England, but will travel across the UK if required!

James Ellingford

The trumpeting trivia-master!

James is a quizmaster from Hartlepool who is currently based in Yorkshire. When he’s not running quizzes, he likes playing the trumpet for local jazz bands and Musical Theatre shows.

With experience working a wide range of different events, from formal gala dinners for the Lord Lieutenant of County Durham, to performing on top of cars at a festival in a forest, James can adapt to any event in any location.

Favourite Round to Host: Lateral thinking rounds.

Areas Covered: Currently Huddersfield and surroundings.

Andy Mitchell

The soap-star superstar!

Andy is an experienced quiz host who has worked with the country’s largest quiz operators over a number of years.

Andy is a relaxing and engaging presence on the mic, and when he’s not asking questions, you might find him hosting various events or even on your TV screen – he’s a regular villager on Emmerdale!

Favourite Round to Host: Anything about Nicholas Cage.

Areas Covered: Huddersfield and much of the North of England.

Finn Hilsdon

Any-Finn is possible!

Finn grew up in a sleepy Cornish village honing his trivia knowledge and crowd banter in the hopes that one day he would join the illustrious Mark Your Occasion team!

Finn has a soft spot for witty team names, and when he’s not getting you thinking, he’ll either be watching horror movies, gigging with his band, or performing as Shrek across Europe. (No make-up required!)
